In today’s Where’s-Your-God-Now news: a sex-offender just won a $3 million lottery.

Not just any sex offender, mind you – a pedophile. A total “come on into the back of my van where there’s puppies and candy and all the characters from Frozen doing a play act ‘round the clock like vaudeville for children” style Chester. One who diddled two kiddies under the age of twelve, too. That’s who just bought a $20 lottery ticket, took it home, and realized all his financial woes were about to be erased.

Does it bother anyone else that he looks just as content as the day he pego-registered?

This story’s got legs to it that make it almost seem redeemable. (Don’t get too excited. I do mean “almost”) Your first though might be, “That bastard! Now he can afford a Neverland-esque theme park in his backyard and lure the playground tail in style”. That was my reaction too. Then the “however” point that got brought up was that pre-jackpot, this dude was too poor to pay the victims what they were originally owed for emotional compensation. (So they can afford a shrink to help them deal with life after getting sexed up by a dude who looks like he dresses up in a clown suit in his free time and might have a few more bodies underneath that house he owns that’s overgrown with weeds and ivy.) So, in that way, him having the money (for the sole purpose of giving it away to the girls) would be a good thing.

Yet, the “however” to that “however” is this ultra-shitty law loophole that was made in 2010.

As the vid mentions – if the girls who were abused by this dude back in 2002 turned 22 by 2010, they will have lost the right to collect money via civil lawsuit. That’s one too many “two’s” for me to process in light of all those “zeroes” on that giant paycheck in this guy’s greasy hands. I’m not sure how young these girls were when it happened, but if they were exactly twelve at the time, they’re getting screwed yet again.

Maybe if we’re lucky, he’ll fall victim to that same “lottery curse” most folk do – where they develop this false sense of security from their big bank balance, think they’re gods, and go out and break the law left and right. That shouldn’t be hard for him to manage –he’s got a criminal record dating back to over a decade before raping children (or getting caught for it anyway). So, I guess we just have to sit back and wait for him to show up yet again in the news for having dead baby bodies in the trunk of his taxi cab. And then he’ll probably be able to afford the kind of lawyer who hypnotizes the court system into believing hard evidence is hearsay.

I feel like I need to pay karma a visit and issue some news of my own.
